Creative Pursuits 𝄞

Composer & Sound tech for Dance Performances. (commissioned)
Composed and performed soundtracks for multiple dance performances, including Machine Care by Lux Muller (at Charleroi Danse, Brussels) and Zing Zing by Naya Abrin (Cityfab1, Brussels).

PCB Fabrication Workshop Instructor. (invited/independent)
Coordination and technical instruction of workshops teaching DIY printed circuit board manufacture to a mixed audience from artistic and technical fields. First organized independently, then as a guest lecturer at ULB.

Electronic Musical Instrument Designer. (independent/invited)
Design and fabrication of synthesizers, combining expertise in electronics, programming, and musical performance.
Invited to showcase & perform with a handmade synth during Mona Fileul's Party Mix at Krone Couronne (Biel/Bienne, Switzerland) from September 5 to November 9, 2024.

Resident on Lyl Radio. (invited)
Bi-monthly show, producing 1h long experimental audio collage mixes for a French+Belgian community radio.

Solo Music Project (Producer/Performer) as Xaxalxe. (independent)
Electronic algo-pop with gameboys and voice, with a focus on live experimentation. Over the years I have been invited to perform at Dock B , le Sample (Paris), Palais des Beaux-Arts (Lille), Botanique, Recyclart, Kiosk Radio (Brussels), and more.

Video Documentary Producer / Editor. (independent team)
Producion and artistic direction of a video documentary on social sentiment around Bitcoin and Blockchain technologies, along with Juliette Delgrange and Gwenaël Laurent. This work was then shown as part of the Black Boxes exhibition with disnovation.org at Musée L in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.

Computer Science & Academia 🔎

AI and Optimization Researcher for the AIA Research Group, UCLouvain.
This work was possible thanks to a grant by FNRS. During my research, I:
- Developed novel algorithms to address fairness considerations in graph-based machine learning models,
- Designed and implemented evaluation frameworks to assess algorithmic performance and fairness metrics on such algorithms,
- Conducted interdisciplinary research examining the sociopolitical dimensions of fairness interventions in AI.

Teaching Assistant for École Polytechnique de Louvain.
- Delivered in-person lectures for graduate and undergrad classes such as Algorithms, Logic, Graph Theory, ...
- Designed and graded new assignments and course material,
- Coded and maintained automated grading software providing immediate feedback on student submission.

Undergraduate Teaching Tutor for École Polytechnique de Louvain.
Student job during my studies where I tutored first year engineering students.
- Trained in project-based, inverted classroom methodology
- Delivered interactive sessions to classes of 30 students
- Developed and graded exercises and assignments.
